About Us

Hi Angels! My name is Kyah and I am the owner of Troublesome Heart 🖤

I began making patches in 2021 from my bedroom. I was working full time as a mental health support worker and spent every free moment I could making new designs.

I have 2 degrees in psychology and mental health and wanted to pursue a career in helping people. Working in a high support service with individuals with chronic mental health issues made me realise the huge stigma there is and how this impacts day to day living.

This drove me to wanting to create items that can raise awareness in a fun and colourful way.

I always aim to be inclusive and am welcome to any new ideas. The world of mental health and chronic illnesses is constantly developing and I just want people to not feel alone when navigating this twisty road.

I expanded to stickers and then embroidered clothing in 2024 as more people were enjoying my designs. I now run Troublesome Heart full time thanks to everyone's lovely support. I am eternally grateful to each of you for being apart of my journey 💖
